Please visit http://pgh.gov.ph Yes the PGH helps indigents just like NKTI does, you have to go there to line up and apply for the card. Please be prepared to line up long, try to bring some food so you dont have to get out of line. I encourage you to call them first to know that will be required of you so you can have it with you when you come. kindly check their website. God bless you too.

Hello again! Do you know or do you have any information if the Philippine General Hospital ( PGH ) offers the same medical services to indigent patients in the same manner as the NKTI?

On your query, you may visit the NKTI Official Website at http://nkti.gov.ph for the contact information of the Social Service.
The Social Worker will first have to interview you and determine if you are qualified to be given aide. You may call them to find out of the operation for your father is performed there.

Another entity from where you can seek assistance is the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes,www.pcso.gov.ph it is located at E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave in Quezon City, when you go there, pls. bring all the hospital records and bills you paid the hospital and make a letter to them stating what you just shared abuot why you need help. A social worker will interview you and process your paper. Then depending on their interview, they can release a certain amount that could cover your entire or portion of your expenses. I believe the maximum they can release is P100,000.00

My father was operated last Sept. 8, 2006 for gallbladder stones and a urine bag is still attached to stomach because a T-Tube has been placed in his biliary ducts. His hospitalization and medicines cost us too much that we have to borrow money from our friends and relatives, and from some credit institutions. In his last check-up, his surgeon advised us that my father has to undergo an ERCP, ASAP, to know if his biliary ducts are free from any obstruction, node or stone. He said, it will cost us around P50,000.00. We can no longer afford that. We don’t have the money and can no longer raise that much, cause until now, our debts are still unpaid. Can my father be accomodated at NKTI’s Social Service? Is ERCP be done at NKTI? Thank you so much… I hope my father’s case would be given the utmost consideration.. God Bless All of us…
