3 Expressions of Love

   Â

Love is probably the most important thing in the world. Many would die for it and give up everything for it, including tons of money.

In fact the most written about lyrics is on Love. Like the song “What’s love got to do with it?” Well, let us just say that we are created to connect with other people and enjoy love.

Let me share with you what I learned about love from life, other people and from church.

There are 3 Expressions of Love, the first two being conditional and the best is the third because it is unconditional.
1. I love you IF
2. I love you Because
3. I love you.

The first is something like,
“i love you if you buy me…
“i love you if you do this…
“i love you if you win…
The second is something like
“i love you because you treat me well…
“i love you because you bought me….
“i love you because you won the game…
Good but not good enough, i wonder if that is really love after all.

The 3rd is, “I love you!” i love you, period…just unconditional love. I would say that this is the kind of love i have enjoyed in my family and I am so blessed to have grown in a loving home with wonderful parents and siblings.

I also know that not everyone is as fortunate as me. If you grew up not feeling loved, or you grew up with out a father or mother, let me tell you something, there is one who loves you unconditionally, it is Jesus. He died for us, he came that we might have life and live it abundantly. God want us to enjoy a loving relationship with him, but you have to receive that offer of love to fully experience it.

Receive the reality that God loves you. He loves you no matter what you have done in the past.

The kind of love God has for you is unconditional and let me tell you 3 Perspectives of Love.

1. Love is a DECISION. It is not a feeling, feelings are very inconsistent. My parents and family members as well as me just decided to love each other. Yes we also do have our disagreements, discussions and share of disappointing things we unintentionally do or not to each other but still we know there is love.

God also decided to love you and me that’s why he sent his son Jesus for us. Our sins have separated us from our God, and his son is bridging that separation right now. He demonstrated that love when Jesus died on the cross in our place.

Have you decided to love? Who did you decide to love? Would you like to have more of God’s love?

2. Love is about GIVING not GETTING. When we love, we don’t mind giving our Time, our Money and everything else.

We are not rich, but i was certain even as a young child back then that I had a generous family. It was normal to share things, give to each other in the home and to people outside my home.

God was the first to give too, he gave us himself and a plan. The word of God says, for I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God is willing to keep on giving, what have you not claimed yet?

What are you giving the people you love?

3.Love is SACRIFICING not SELF-SEEKING. Love is doing something without expecting anything in return and is focused on pleasing the other person. This is the kind of love God has for you and me. Want to know more of Jesus’ sacrifices for you?

What are you willing to sacrifice for your loved one?

I have been experiencing the kind of Love God has for you and me. I am truly grateful.

If you want to know more about Jesus and his plan for you, I am most willing to share with you more about it. You may reach me via email at arellevalla [at] gmail [.]com

There is an emptiness in our hearts that only God can fill…if you have been feeling empty inside despite all the success, or if you are feeling down and lonely, not feeling loved or abandoned, then it is no coincidence that you went this far to reading this. God has a destiny for your life. He wants to have a relationship with you and show you how much he loves you.

This is the view from the cable car i was riding at together with Grace and her husband, our host last easter, church mates of my Sis-in-law Jane from Bread of Life.

It is my first time to visit Tagaytay Highlands, i have heard a lot of good nice things about it. This is the same place where Claudine Barreto exchanged vows with Raymart Santiago.

It is indeed very nice, it features a Championship Golf Course, Country Clubs at the midland and highland with all the sports amenities you could think of. And of course the luxurious villas and homes like in the photo, i was told it fetches around P30,000,000 on the average. These homes are overlooking the golf course, the country club, the Taal Volcano and the Taal Lake.

Tagaytay Highlands is an exclusive membership Golf and country club, one Club share is at P650,000.00.

Weather is fantastic…cool and crisp.

Thanks to our host who gave us wonderful accomodation in their hotel, Royal Taal and tour of Tagaytay.

Women’s World

Originally uploaded by arellevalla.com.

I just met with friend Ayie yesterday, (seated 3rd from right) at Starbucks SM City and talked about the Women’s World gym she put up in Angeles City Pampanga. I can’t help but notice the very nice nail polish she has on, done by one of her salon experts at the gym.

The Women’s World is not just any gym, it is a haven for women who wants to be pampered after working out. Enjoy health food and drinks at the bar, get a fix at the salon, a soothing massage or shed off some fats on water on a water aerobics session.

It is now open for membership, for inquiries contact Ayie at 0920 923 39 29.

Originally uploaded by arellevalla.com.

It has always been a tradition for the past 10 years or so to go to boracay annually for me and my sisters together with family and friends.

Romina is always the head planner who researches which would be the resort to stay in, new activities to do, dates to go, clothes to bring, etc…

When she came for vacation from the States last year, it was to bring see dad for the last time, 2006 was a very sad year for the entire family because of dad’s passing. We truly miss him.

Now, she is glad that she is coming for a week with her husband Justin to be with the entire family for a vacation to Boracay in September. As usual, she is excited about arranging the ticket bookings and all the details.

Any suggestions of what’s new in bora? we havent been there for 2 years, a lot has surely changed.

My Victory Spiritual Family

I just want to honor my spiritual leader, Cel Carodan, seated 3rd from left on the 2nd row. She is such a sparkling woman who has stood with me in prayer many times especially when i most need it.

She has positively influenced my life and the lives many young women including international models, PBA wives, beauty queens, and young professionals to become the best that they can be thru her leadership by example.

She is loving mother to 3 wonderful kids-Esther, Emmanuel and Elijah, lovely wife to her husband Joseph Carodan who is the Pastor of Victory’s Champions for Christ.

She is our spiritual leader who helps us grow in our walk with God and apply biblical principles in a practical way to live victorious lives.

I am truly blessed to have her as a mentor, friend and sister in the Lord.

What about proms?

No Gravatar

How did your prom night go? When I watch American teen movies where there was a prom night scenes, it was always a big thing to become Prom night Queen. They’d go
to great lengths to make it, check the best prom hairstyles and homecoming hairstyles (which is good), nothing wrong about exerting effort to look good, some do a crash diet if needed, etc. And there are those who even decide to give up themselves up for the first time on that night.

But in the Philippines, it seems simpler. Of course, it would be good to become prom night Queen but it wasn’t the focus, it was about having a great time wearing a nice pink gown and feel special. Enjoy a fine dance with a cool date and just enjoy the night away.  And to do something more than a kiss is not very common, I just don’t know these days, I had my prom night 18 years ago lol…

I skipped Senior prom in favor of some adventure with my then boyfriend Paul P., hmmm, what are you thinking? We just went for a night drive after dinner.

I was watching Tyra Banks show, and was being featured was four (4) young girls who were given a Hollywood like party, asked to drink alcohol, flirt or even go out with a guy, and taste drugs. These party is recorded without them knowing it.

During the show was Tyra with the girls and their respective parents. The videos where shown with some of the girls saying no to drugs, alcohol and a make out, while others showing succumbing to the temptation.  The parents who’s kid said no was very proud and disappointed to those who did otherwise.

Tyra relates that one doesn’t have to give in to peers invitation just to fit in when they know it is not good. Like she herself didn’t do drugs and yet managed to become what she is today.

One parent said, “you clearly are a follower and not a leader by giving in”… hearing that from ones own parent is definitely painful. But True!

A former prom night queen was later called in to join the show, and this girl narrates that she was the most popular girl in school, the envied girl and all that, with the best guy as her boyfriend.  She enjoyed the attention so much, partied to her hearts content and had sex with her bf during prom night then on and on. Now, she is mother to 3 kids at 20 years old, not able to finish college, and living a difficult life.

Girls, don’t give in to peer pressure, learn to say no when needed, enjoy yourself but also know your limits.
