Our health ethics class in Medical school is very interesting, because we tackle ethical issues in the hospital. Like is Euthanasia ethical? Euthanasia is in lay mans term-mercy killing. What if a person is so ill and he doesn’t want to prolong his agony anymore, especially that he is just depending on a machine for his life, and he requests you to pull the plug for him so he could peacefully go?

There are so many angles to consider in making a decision where life is at stake, or even if its not a matter of life and death but concerns the health status of an individual. Especially when a Medical Professional is working in the U.S where law is tough unlike in third world countries, one has to give extra care and attention in doing anything.
Â
Aside from ethics, the term “informed consent†is also something because here in the Philippines, not all patients or patients relatives are as inquisitive, sometime doctors are let to do anything and the patient doesn’t ask much and the doctor seem not to always explain too lol…
Unlike in the states, where people are more straight forward and frank who would always ask and really try to get to know as much as there can be learned before involving in a procedure ,like a patient considering a Washington DC Rhinoplasty would really go for a consultation where details of how the entire procedure would go is asked, risks and benefits are explained and so the patient or client can derive into an informed decision.

Btw, rhinoplasty is a procedure where the nose is surgically enhanced to alter its size or shape for aesthetic or reconstructive reasons.
