I was really alarmed learning of the explosion incident in Makati because my sister & sister-in-law works in Makati and my cousin has a project there too. I am relieved upon calling them and that they were not there when it happened.  My Cousin Ate Madel really thanked God because she was planning to visit their project in Makati but decided to go elsewhere instead, if she did, she’d probably pass the spot of explosion and it would have been around that time.

I symphathize with all the fatalities and those injured.  I hope that the heart-less people behind this get what they deserve for hurting innocent people.  The photos on this ABS CBN News article shows that the damage was really bad, and as confirmed by Philippine National Police chief Avelino Razon in an interview such is not caused by LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) as earlier speculated but of a bomb.

As a safety reminder, try to stay home as much as you can if there is nothing very important that you need to go to. And if going to the mall is unavoidable, try to go straight to where you need to go, accomplish your errand and be back home.
