Do you like what you studied?

Many years ago, I enrolled to become a Certified Novell Engineer after studying Computer science. During the sessions at Novell, I realized I didn’t want to be a CNE lol…because it involved LAN setting up which means I have to know cables, wires, testers like cat 5 and stuff like that, and work using those.

Then I later became a Marketing Consultant because I realized I prefer to work with people than with machines, cables and wires.

I know that being a CNE means conceptualizing and planning but to physically do cabling is unavoidable.  I thought, I would be like a technician lol…which I have no problem with, but not a preference.

A appreciate technicians and technical people, what will I do without them.

Truck Business

One of the places I want to visit is Italy… My great grandfather is Italian, married to a Filipina (I look very Filipina). As a person who buys domains, I wanted to buy the domain valla.com but it is already taken. I checked the domain and I found that it is a company in Italy.

Valla.com seems to be selling trucks, truck accessories or better called Heavy Equipments I think… Their head office is located in Italy, hopefully my sister and I get to visit where the Valla’s came from when we go there. Our plan is on 2009, God willing.

Missing the gym

I miss Fitness first and running on treadmills…I am considering getting myself one for home use. I haven’t been to the gym for a while, what I do now are just jogging and jump ropes with some stretching… and recently I started working out using Belly Dancing…I am really enjoying it.

Admittedly though, my body ached after doing my first 2 sessions of one hour each.  I should also lessen my carb intake, maybe no rice and no sweetened juices for a while.

I like going to the gym…and I should activate my membership come January 2008…I think I want to enjoy parties for the rest of the year and have a good time with family and friends on Christmas parties.

Computer and stuff

I studied Computer Science but I am not a techie…like a driver who can just drive but don’t know hot to touch things in the car to fix it or maintain it.

I don’t know techie jargons … I rely on mighty google for a lot of things and words to define and search for me.  Like if you mention to me cat6 I wouldn’t know it’s something you use for connecting to the internet… I thank God for my cousin Paul who is really really good at fixing internet stuff…

Just right now, he is working on my laptop remotely…I’m just so amazed…. He is able to look into and control my laptop from 5 hours drive away…

Looking at my laptop screen, one would think a ghost is on it…the mouse moving…pages opening…

Nothing is impossible….

What kind of home do you like?

After watching The Secret, it makes me think about enjoying luxury homes. The thought came because  one of the speakers in the Secret talks about living in a $4M house, I wonder how that is like (lol), because I don’t live even in a $300,000 house.

I wasn’t born rich nor am I already (lol)…but would be glad to be, of course. They say dreaming is free, so might as well, right?

What are more important in a home to me are the people, persons I will be living there with and the kind of relationship we have more than just having a nice beautiful home.

I want to live in home where there is love and respect.  I want my home to be a place where one can be who he is she is, and feel welcomed, accepted and find love.

A home where things can be touched (but not broken lol), food can be tasted (but not wasted), and where people are approachable.

Simply put, I want a happy home whether big or small, where my family can be together.

And it would be great to have a happy luxury home for the family to enjoy and where visiting families can stay comfortably and parties can be held enjoyably.

What I would like in my home would be a nice pool, coz I would love to swim everyday to strengthen my back.  I used to do that when I was living a place with a pool.

I want it to have a nice audio visual room with a large LCD Screen, Sound System and comfortable seats where the family can enjoy movies and sing songs on karaoke together.

A room where one can read the bible and pray, like a prayer room.

I would like a luxury home overlooking the ocean, or the entire house with the view of the pool.

I want a nice kitchen, although I don’t cook (lol) but willing to learn.  So whoever is cooking will enjoy it.

A nice masters and  bedrooms overlooking a body of water…

A home where every family member look forward going home to, to be with each other.

Are you ready for another chance?

As we live our lives, most if not all experience some valleys and peaks, high and lows of life.  One day you have so much, another day you are in need.

Have you felt like you wish you can start all over again and do things differently? Like wishing you handled love and relationships, school, work, and finances better?  One of the things I learned in life is the importance of having a mentor. A mentor is something ( a book, an audio of video tape) or someone like a person you look up to, who would help you become better in what you do or a person. A mentor is one who would trust you again. Seek a mentor that would help you do things and do it right and better.

One of the things we should learn in life aside from handling relationships well is how to handle money.  A lot of us we’re taught how to earn money but not a lot were taught how to take care of it.

We work or do business to earn. We studied many years so we could land on a good job or start a business, but why there are so many professionals who are earning much yet has no savings.  It’s because spending wasn’t controlled to the point of spending more than how much is earned.  A lot fall into the trap of swiping cards left and right, just to find out their credit are over extended, and interests keep on compounding.

When interests and credit due overtakes the income and one is unable to keep up with the payments, then ones credit card may be cut and this could result in serious credit ratings that can affect your credibility to borrow for bigger purchases like a car or a home.

It is a good thing that one with a bad credit history can still make bad credit loans.  There are financial institutions that are willing to take the risk on lending at higher interest rates than usual, but it least it gives one a chance to recover.

When you get trusted again, build your credit worthiness by paying bills on time and get rid of interest compounding a lot by paying the principal.  Build trust and cease the opportunity to show you are worth it. Attend financial literacy programs and get professional help and advice how to establish credit worthiness.
