Arelle V. White All streets were closed for motorists in the four corners of Aklan Town Plaza. One will surely notice the very beautiful and gigantic Tree in the midst of it that served as a good shade at high noon for tourists and locals enjoying the “Sad-sad” – Parade walk. This photo was taken the day before the highlight of the event where Ati-Atihan Festival participants already come in Tribal Costumes in black painted bodies.
Parading of Aklanons in Drums and themed shirts started Jan. 18. 2008. Almost all towns were represented as well as major Institutions like the Colleges and Major Organizations.
