With so many products in the market, there are types of connectors that can be mounted in a plate or single patch panel. A keystone jack is female connector used in data communications, particularly local area networks (LANs). Its plug is the matching male connector, usually attached to the end of a cable or cord. It is available in shielded and unshielded form, and can accommodate cords and cables which have various numbers of conductors. A cat5e keystone jack, for example, is an advantage because of their versatility and durability.
