I don’t like mosquito bites

One evening i was working in the living room on my laptop. And sometimes i don’t like getting up when I am finishing an important email coz the other person is waitingÂ for my reply.
I noticed some mosquitoes around and biting me,
i realized thatÂ the doors are open.

And so i told our housemate to please close the door since she was near it.

I said…(in tagalog of course)

“Kindly close the door please, because mosquitoes are coming in, theyre biting me.”
(“paki sara ang pinto please,Â kasi pumapasok ang lamok, kinakagat ako”)
I got busy and later realized that the doors are still left open.

I asked again, saying,

“Please close the door…”
(“paki sara ang pinto…”)

I went on to work again, then saw that the door is still open.

With a little irritation (because i hate being bitten) I said,

“I’ve been requesting for the door to be closed, why are you not closing it, im getting bites.”
(Kanino ko pa pinasasara yang pinto, bakit di sinasara, nilalamok ako.)

She answered…
(“Ma’am, if i close the door, the more mosquitoes will bite you.”)
ATe, pag sinara ko ang pinto, lalo ka lalamukin…
With confusion, i asked,

“Why”(Bakit?)

“…because they can’t go out”. lol
(Kasi di sila makaka labas…lol…)

So instead of me, getting irritated, i laughed…
She was actually concerned of me, and not being disobedient…

It’s always best to ask for reasons why people do what they do,
sometimes what they do seems to be wrong to us, but
their reasons are right to them, thinking about us with concern.

But still…i prefer the door closed, no mosquitos please…:)

My Belle De Jour Power Planner 2009

My 2009 planner is a Belle De Jour from my wonderful sister Rich. She was very excited in telling me about the gift she got me for Christmas, coz she said i will like it. She’s right, i really liked it. It was made with very special and very helpful contents.

9 Reasons why i like it…and more

1. It has a space for my BIG ROCKS for my major project’s details,

2. DAILY SCHEDULES (which is what you find in most planners),

3. GAP Time for things i can remind myself to do during travel times.

4. A space for my ERRANDS.

5. My MIT’s- Most important Tasks and Action Lists

6. Space for my MONTHLY PRIORITIES

7. SOCIAL Calendar

8. I’m Grateful for list.

9. Expense Tracker

and a lot of Special Pages for my 2009 Goals, My wish list, Dream Board, Health check List, Vacation Planner and so much more … You should see my previous planner, with all the scribling all over about different things,Â in this plannerÂ i have spaces for most of itÂ not all.

What not…(just not for me to bring along a lot, but its a good thing to have for me to leave at home)

It’s a bit bulky for me to take with my usual stuff to school or work. I already carry enough medical books to school, and a more than 2 kg laptop to work.Â It’s not really a downside for the planner, coz i find everything in it essential. I still prefer my PDA Phone for my everyday undetailedÂ scheduling and Â reminders that i bring with me, so what I do is now is, after writing out the details on my Planner, i type in the scheds on my PDA to serve as my reminder showing only keywords.
