Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is a condition that affects the plantar fascia ligament and causes this long fibrous band of tissue to swell and therefore inflict unimaginable pain. Swelling occurs when tears develop in this tissue. This is due to one of the various causes such as arthritis and diabetes. Intense exercise, running or jumping subject the tissue tears and bring about painful foot condition in the heel and arch area.
