I thank God for making me pass the Nursing Licensure Exam

I woke up with 7 messages and some missed calls this morning on my cellphone, was kinda nervous why, because I don’t usually have so much messages in the morning, then when I checked, it’s from my Mom, classmates Julie, ate Chuchi and some friends congratulating me for passing the Board Exams! Wow, that’s a great morning news for me, especially having been so tired of riding on 3 flights the last 3 consecutive days coming from Boracay to Subic then now Puerto Princesa in Palawan.

We have free wifi access here at Microtel, Palawan and so I came online to look the November 2009 Nursing board exams results for myself and true enough, my name is there. I thank and praise God for it!

I really appreciate all my loved ones, classmates and friends who supported and prayed for me, my school St. Bernadette College of Health and Sciences and Seamed Review Center for equipping me.

Congratulations to all my batch mates.

Mano Po 6

I watched Mano Po 6 with my Mom and sister at Trinoma Mall few days ago. It’s a great movie, you wont even notice the time pass because the phasing of events is really fast and you wouldn’t want to miss a part.

It is played by Megastar Sharon Cuneta, who won best actress for it. It’s a story of a Mother from a Chinese family, however being half chinese, who married a full blooded chinese (stared by Christopher De Leon) created friction in the family, as if it ‘s bad luck especially for business.

Unfortunately, because of some failed ventures their children had to be brought to Christopher’s Parents for temporary shelter, where they were well taken cared of but told that their mother is a bad person and they should just stay, the kids believed this. Sharon was eventually left to do things by herself and was able to get only one daughter (Ciara Sotto). The 3 other kids (Heart being the eldest), had to be watched by Sharon from afar.

A breakthrough came to Sharon when an insurance claim allowed her to start and grow a business, and this is what she used as a platform to gain back her children. A lot of other interesting twist and turn of events happened in the story, some you won’t expect to happen.

One thing is very evident, a mother’s love will always be a driving force for a family to be together. Her sacrifice and love is unwavering. Just like my mom who would do anything for our good and welfare, sometimes we don’t recognize it as a good thing because we want our own way as children but no matter what we think, our parents just want the best for us.

Good investing is one good thing parents can do such as getting insurance coverage, it can save one’s future or a family’s future. North Carolina health insurance is one good investment, or check with a reputable and insurance provider what best option you can venture in for a more secure future.

Mano po 6 is a must see movie for the entire family.

I’m glad to come across Faith Comes by Hearing that gives out free audio bibles online. I downloaded an English New International Version early this year and have enjoyed it ever since. The bible is the best audio book you can ever have. It’s the best manual for life.

Faith Comes By Hearing has recorded the New Testament in more than 400 languages, and the goal is to have it in 2,000 languages by the year 2016.

Rick Warren’s Church Raises $2.4M in 2 Days

I was reading Christian Post a few days ago, Ptr. Rick Warren (of Saddleback church and author of best seller Purpose Driven Life) posted a letter in his church updating members of the charities and giving they have done for the year and needed USD 900,000 for the church to be debt fee, that’s equal to Forty-one Million (Php 41,000,000) in Philippine money that needed to be raised in Two (2) days! You know that this amount is not small money, and knowing how bad the economy is, it’s hard to think it can be raised.

But our economy is not of this world, our economy is of God’s, the heavenlies, our King is the maker of Heavens and the Earth to whom all things are possible. With in two days, as a response by God’s people, believing Christians, not only US 900,000 was raised but more than twice that, at a whooping USD 2.4M dollars, equal to about One hundred Ten Million (Php 110,400,000.00) Philippine Pesos, mostly donations of less than USD 100 from its more than 20,000 members.

When a project is from God, His resources follow. Glory to God for all the generosity and the charity projects accomplished for the glory of God.
