Whatever you do, safety first! That’s a rule in life, especially when one is going on adventures. You’ve probably heard that “People don’t plan to fail, rather fail to plan” that saying applies to a big part of the population, no wonder only a certain percentage make to the top…success! You wan’t to have a successful vacation trip? Then plan your trip.
Make sure you know the destination you’re going to enough for you to plan a safe yet fun filled trip. Set aside a budget and stick to it. Read reviews of airlines and its services, look for the best rates if you have the time or pay for the luxury if you can afford it, make sure your passport is valid for travel for the next 6 months at the very least and valid longer than your trip, have a travel insurance, take necessary vaccinations, bring enough clothing, and protective clothing (ex. rash guard) if you will be exposed to diving, trekking and the likes, bring vitamins and your medicines (plus first aid kit).
Bring written emergeny and important phone numbers, print outs of your airline and hotel/services bookings, extra batteries for your gadgets, enough cash and credit card. What else? Ah, anti mosquito repellants if you will be in the outdoors and your sunscreen. Make sure your family back home knows where you will be, shoot an email to them of your hotels and airlines. Then when at the destination, get them informed when you can, preferably with pictures of who you are with or met along the way for safety too.
If you enjoy writing, try to make a journal and bring your camera to capture the moment.
