Edsa Shangri-la Hotel
I would like to commend Shangri-la’s responsiveness to client needs. We have traveled a little bit around the Philippines and stayed at a number of resorts and hotels both five star and backpackers resort and so far only Shangri-la (among it’s class) has been the most satisfactory. The photo above is actually an upgrade from an already very nice room, which incidentally was located at the side where the Shangri-la Malls are having their night band playing. And because of the band, we could not sleep well because we could hear the music in the room (we were at the 9th floor if im not mistaken). We informed the manager of our issue and they moved us with an upgrade to another wing the following day.
And yesterday, I got a message from it’s General Manager Reto Klauser on Facebook thanking us for staying with them.

We love staying at Shangri-la that my fiance and I decided to exchange our vows there in a simple yet very meaningful ceremony.

Thoughtful and interesting, thank you. I was brought up in manilla but moved to england at such a young age I can hardly remember anything apart from the delicious food. I finally found some authentic Filipino recipes if you want to take a look, I thought I'd share it with you!
