It’s been more than 2 years (September 2009) when my husband gave me a diamond ring for our engagement, and more than a year when we put a wedding ring on since we got married in June 2010.
In our wedding, we had a Chord of Three Stands braided in prayer, composed of three colors, a Purple representing God, a Gold representing the groom, and a White, representing me as the bride!
“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” – Ecclesiastes 4:12
It’s been mostly ups than down since then and we thank God who promotes us up to a higher level of love and a deeper level of knowing each other every day. Without God in marriage, it is very difficult to love, honor and respect each other genuinely and at all times. Only with and through the love of God can we truly have a married life with the understanding of it’s full meaning and purpose and to enjoy life with it’s benefits and pleasure,
Our small group bible study with our leader, Icor Harder together with other ladies who want to learn how to be after God’s own heart meet weekly (I try to make it to the meetings
) and we’re studying from the book of Elizabeth George on how to be “A Wife After God’s own heart.” And at the same time, our husbands are being led by Pastor Dan Harder in a bible study group how to be great leaders of the home according to God as well. Should you want to be part of our meetings like this, let me know!
I thank God for the spiritual family that I have in Victory Christian Fellowship. Right now, we are on a corporate Prayer and Fasting, believing God for breakthroughs in every area of our lives this 2012.
As the saying goes, the family that prays together, stays together! I believe this to be very true and real in my life.
You are most invited to know more about how we can have a better married life! Inviting God in life and in your marriage is one of the best decisions you will ever make.
