Postpaid cell phone and Prepaid cell phones has it’s advantages and disadvantages, you just have to figure what best fits your need.
PRE-PAID
PROS:
1. CONTROL LOAD USAGE – If you run out of load and don’t have money, you can choose to wait till you load up again.
2. PROMOS- Service Providers have a variety of unlimited calling and texting promos that best suit your needs
CONS:
1. CAN LOSE YOU NUMBER WITH THE PHONE: When a prepaid phone is lost, the number is lost with the SIM card in it. You have to keep changing phone numbers and have to build up your friends list.
2. RAN OUT OF LOAD WHEN YOU NEED TO CALL: The worse thing is if you don’t have an extra load card on your wallet and you ran out while travelling, then you are stuck to waiting till you can load up again to call anybody or text.
POSTPAID
PROS-
1. WORRY-FREE LOADING: I have experienced running of load while travelling and wish I could just buy some quickly. With postpaid, you are sure you can always be in touch, unless you’re beyond your credit limit.
2. FREE CELLPHONE: Telecom Carriers usually allow you a choice of phone within the range of your monthly subscription fee, and they have a loyalty program that if you stay on the plan for several years, they re-issue a new cell phone unit.
3. ASSIGNED NUMBER – You get to keep a number in case you missplace your phone and don’t find it.
CONS
1. USAGE CAN BE MORE THAN YOUR PLAN – You need to be prepared to spend on load you may not afford. Plus there are usually surcharges.
2. LOCK-IN FOR 2-3YRS – You are forced to stay on a plan for an extended period of time and will be subject to penalties if you pre-terminate.
Which one is better, Post or Prepaid cell phones? The Answer is it’s up to you! Choose what best serve your purpose and needs.
