One of the training seminars I’ve attended that I would say life changing or at least perspective in life changing is the Success Plus from Technology for Peak Performance by Rene Austria and His brother, I’m sorry I couldn’t remember his name right now.
One of the things they talked about was the 4 Types of People are in terms of Performance.
4 Kinds of people and how they perform.
Spectators – they’re the kind who asks the question… “What happened?” How do they watch TV? They watch all day! They know what shows in most channels. They just watch things happen…
Spaghetti Brain – These are the kind who can’t make up their mind…In a restaurant, they would probably order one dish and before the waiter could right it, he changes his mind, and when the water has written down the order, he decides to try something else again. They go through the motions of just choosing and changing, saying yes, then in a heartbeat, say no! How do they watch TV? They change channels all the time, they can’t decide what show to actually watch to finish. TV’s that can show multiple channels in one screen was probably made for this kind of people. They enroll in one school on a course, and half way thru the semester wants to move to another course! Then by the time he finishes, if at all can, he has enrolled in 4 different majors.
Major Problem - These are the people who does things and wants to achieve something, only after all is said and almost done, they see a problem. They couldn’t go passed the possibility of failing. How do they watch TV? In an action film that is so entertaining, they will see every flaw and mistake, like, how can the lead role not get hit by all the guns firing at him or something like that! Theyre’ the kind who say..that will work, but! They have a but all the time!
Peak Performers – These are the people who makes a goal and does what it takes to achieve it. No buts, no excuses! Does peak performers watch TV? Oh definitely, because they’re the kind who invents a TV!
What ever it is you want to achieve in life, you can use this 4 kinds of person as your way of evaluating your own performance. Your results will always tell you how are you performing!
As a blogger, like
John Chow encourages, you have to be committed, and not find the excuses not to blog, I mean if one is serious enough to make a serious income, then there has to be some changes! I admit to having been a sort of a spaghetti brain or maybe a major problem, and it’s time to be a peak performer!
I do want to make serious money online, not just for my self but for the goals I need to achieve that will impact my family and others around me.
It is never too late to change from being a spectator, a spaghetti brain or a major problem to becoming a Peak Performer! The only person who can change you, is the person sitting on your seat right now! That’s what Rene Austria said…and I’m like, who? oh me! Yes, only You and I can change our destiny! Make a decision to change something…it may be a goal, a habit, or a dream!
Doing the same thing and expecting different result is insanity, so I heard…Would you rather not be sane?
Let’ go for our
blogging income goals for 2012. I will endeavor to grow my blog and hope to make at least 12 x what I made in 2011, which was barely USD 700 on this blog. So by the end of this year, my income should be USD 8,400 total! I will make a report at the end of the year of how much I will make from this blog, then, we will know if I have become a Peak Performer! I will make John Chow my online mentor and guide! I will follow his instructions in his ebook the best way I could.
