Bally’s Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada

We drove from Arizona passing by the Grand Canyon into Las Vegas, we were pretty tired and wanted to rest. The line to check in was pretty long, the room we indicated wasn’t available, a Room with King-sized bed, Non-Smoking, but they were kind enough to upgrade us and gave us a Suite room. We were excited to see it…true enough it was large and spacious with a hug toilet area with a jacuzzi. The thing is, it looked more like an 80′s room, one could imagine an Al Pacino like hotel room like scene in a movie lol. Plus it is supposed to be a non-smoking room, but it smelled like someone just did.

We decided to come to the front desk and request for a room change, although we were dead tired. They took sometime before they could find us a room but they eventually did, and that’s where we stayed 3 nights.  We had buffet dinner coupon which we no longer got to use. Why? Because when we got to Rio Hotel (a 5minute drive away) where the buffet was, the line was like 200 feet long..so we just decided to eat at the Hotel’s other restaurants, the name I forgot.

We were moved to a nicer room than the Suite in the other wing…

The Lobby is of course a Casino, which I found too noisy and the smoke was too much for me….The Breakfast Buffet was great, as well as the Lunch. Never got to try Dinner but I heard was really good, awesome ribs from what they said. It was in Rio.

How to go to the World Trade Center Memorial, New York, New York

The World Trade Center Memorial in New York City is a must visit! It was September 11, 2001 when it stood last after two airplanes hit it and collapsed, killing thousands of people.

The hotel we stayed at, Millenium Hilton Hotel is right across, in fact we could see it from our bedroom’s window on one side. Just take the subway train to the World Trade Center, which is the last station to get there.  There is a Visitor’s Center immediately when you get up the subway where you can get a FREE ticket to go inside. It is scheduled and tickets can go fast, so try to do your visit in the morning.

Going into the memorial site itself is like going through an airport, security is very strict, so try to leave anything that you think you can’t get passed airport security. It’s literally like going through an airport security check.

Once inside you can freely go around and there are two memorial falls and some names are engraved around its walls. It is difficult to smile when having a picture taken here knowing how many people lost their lives.

My sister and I chose names to pray for, we prayed that the family they left will be comforted and that their lives that have been impacted by the death and fateful event will be able to move on and keep praying for the nation’s safety that something like this will never happen again.

Particularly chose to say prayers for the family of Sandra White and Madeilyn White.

Behind me is one of the new towers that replaces the Twin Tower, the place is now called ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER….  Some conspiracy theorists believe that this will house the office of those who want to implement the One World Government or what most call the New World Order.

United States (USD) 1 Sacagawea Dollar Coin

I just noticed this coin among my change because it’s color stood out among the others being Gold or more like Brass in color. I asked my sister if it was common, she said it’s not and it’s her first time to see it. I googled it and learned that’s its called the Sacagawea Dollar Coin or also known as the Golden coin, it is in commemoration of the Native Americans!

Apparently, the Sacagawea coin is just a new coin release this millenium 2000 but I guess was stopped production before the decade ended… The year is engraved on the side of the coin like a Presidential Dollar. It had many variety, mine was the one with the corn field. I’m not quite sure if I got it here in Philadelphia or in Arizona.

I just find it pretty cool getting it, I’ll try to save it and use as a decor or something.
