Blackberry makes me happy?!

No Gravatar

A Blackberry phone makes me happy! because through it, my husband and I can send each other messages from anywhere we are in the world when travelling!

Ok, it’s not blackberry that actually makes me happy, it’s my husbands messages of love and care that I receive on it! It’s Instant Messengers let us enjoy unlimited chat, no more P2.50/message that keeps me buying a lot of load, through the BBMax service on Globe, for P599 a month, it’s a big savings for the kind of communicating that we do. One time I spent almost P2000 in load in two weeks using the regular YM service on mobile when travelling! I thank God for technology when it’s used this way!

This is one of the many messages…I like this one particularly because he mentions about prayer and fasting being the way how he received a word from God! :-) about me!

My husbands message last January 7, 2012

(Translation: Listening to Hillsong from the “Inside Out”. 3 Years ago I would listen to a it a lot the same time I met you, When fasted God gave your hand to me. I love you more than words would ever express. I thank the Lord for blessing me with your love. I’m your’s always and forever.! (Of course I replied very lovingly too, acknowledging him as God’s gift to me!)

I received this text on our Day 2 of Prayer and Fasting while at church attending the prayer meeting. I can fully say that our marriage is a product of seeking God’s will through prayer and fasting! :-)

Here is the song Inside Out by Hillsong.

I thank God for blessing me with a wonderful husband who loves the Lord! And because of the love of God, he is able to love me more than I can imagine!

If your husband doesn’t know the Lord, start praying he does come to know the Lord! Why? Because God has a clear instruction to him.

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” – Ephesians 5:25

To all Christian single women, if you want a genuine Christian man for a husband, be the first to pray and fast asking God to help the man He has for you to find you :-)
If you want to know my story, read on…

In December of 2008, my friends, Ate Janet, Luzette, Zed and I went up the Prayer Mountain in Antipolo to seek God in prayer for our group goal of going to Boracay the following year, January 2009 for a Real Estate project Alta Vista De Boracay by DMCI Homes and Crown Regency Boracay by Fuente Triangle that we want to market. There we lifted up that desire in prayer, and with that was our personal requests to God, too.

In the prayer mountain, I told God that I believe I am ready to start a relationship, and for him to confirm who (if I already know him), or meet who (if I don’t know him yet) He intend for me to start a relationship with.

Before the year 2008 ended, our group took a trip to Cebu, and I had the opportunity to be part of the first batch to ride the Sky Adventure at the Crown regency hotel! And as we like putting our travel photos online, Doug saw a photo of me in a harness in a Christian website and messaged me out of curiosity of what I was doing, to which i simply replied with something like, I was on a Sky adventure in the tallest Hotel in the Philippines.

We started talking more about faith and travelling after that. In January 2009, I informed him of the church doing the annual praying and fasting, to which I am not expecting he would participate, but he did.

During the fast, he believe God spoke to him, and the rest is history… He gave time to know me, and so did I. While getting to know each other, meeting each others family, praying together. I seek God for a confirmation about the destiny of our courtship, if this is His answer to me when I prayed at the mountain? and the Lord did. I had some concerns that I had to lift up to God to give me peace about, and then on one trip from Kalibo to Boracay, I was listening to Joel Osteen’s, Become a Better you on my Ipod (that he gave), I heard the encouragement I needed that served as my confirmation of a “go” from God, and that He is blessing it. Was it all a bed of roses all the way? no, we had serious disagreements having grown from different backgrounds and cultures, but whenever God intervened, it all gets cleared and restored.

He proposed marriage to me in September 2009, and formally asked for my hand in marriage from my mom in January 2010, and got married the same year.

Thank you to my husband for being obedient to God! lol

Archie Arboleda’s death at PNR railway.

My mom, sister and I visited at the Trinity Memorial Chapel in Sucat, Paranaque the other night, where Archie Arboleda’s body is laid for family and friends to pay respects and bring comfort to his grieving wife, son, Parents, siblings and relatives. We know them to be diligent Christians serving the Lord, my parents have known them for many years.

Sis. Nimfa (Archie’s mom) shared how painful it is to have a child die ahead of a parent, and still can’t believe Archie is gone while she carries her 4 month old grandchild by Archie’s younger brother. Archie’s wife is being comforted by family and friends too while Liam, their 6 years old son walks around, maybe thinking his father is only sleeping.

Bro. Cris shared some premonitions, and said some of Archie’s officemates came early after the accident and told him that Archie shaked hands with a lot of officemates before leaving that morning of his fatal death, even those from other floors who are not really very close to him. Tita Nimfa also told us about how sweet their son has been and been very responsible.

Professionals with a Christian counseling degree can be so helpful to those who are grieving.

They still don’t have a copy of the police report of what really transpired based on the investigation, but to their knowledge, there was no safety rail down as a communication device that will make a person nearing the tracks slow down driving on approach and stop whenever a train is about to come.

I searched of other PNR incidences and watched this interview of a PNR representative about a different accident involving a bus (who they say is the one at fault), as I watch it, I can’t stop myself from noticing how they respond…

Granting that most of accidents are due to Driver Error, does that mean, that PNR has no responsibility when accidents happen such as the one involving Archie? If it’s true that there was no safety rail, is PNR spared from any liability?

I looked the law up and this is what I found, “Philippine National Railway Act of 2010.”

Republic of the Philippines
House of Representatives
Fifteenth Congress
First Regular Session
Introduced by Honorable Juan Edgardo “Sonny” M. Angara
Article XVI – Safety and Security
An Act Institutionalizing a National Railway System in the Philippines
and for other purposes…
Philippine National Railway Act of 2010.

Based on the video, the bus driver still went ahead with the warning of the flag man. Is a flag man enough to provide a safety signal? How about Flag man error (if deemed ineffective), not just driver error? being a reason why
drivers continue to cross the rail…

Still on the video above, the PNR person said “With or without yung senyales na may darating na tren, kung nakita na natin na pula yung sa kabilang side, hindi ka na tumawid o pumatong pa duon sa riles. ”
(“With or without the sign, that there is an upcoming train, if one can see a red light on the other side, you should no longer cross or go over the rail.”)

“With or without sign“??….are you kidding me?
What kind of an answer is that coming from PNR!!!

I don’t know when was the last time PNR executives read the law.

The reporter further said, na” responsibilidad din naman daw ng PNR na habang nag a-upgrade at nag dadagdag ito ng makabagong tren….ay dapat ganun din ang pag-iigting nito sa safety measures kasama na ang pag dadagdag ng mga crossing keeper, at makabagong barriers, signals at mga ilaw…” (It is the responsibility of PNR that while they upgrade and add new trains…they’re to be diligent in their safety measures that includes increasing cross keeper and new barriers, signals and light.)

It seems na may aminadong “Kakulangan ng facilididad ng PNR”, (It seems that there is an admission that “there is a lack of facilities in PNR”), and

When asked about what measures they’re doing about safety?

Ang sagot ay… “Just bear with us noh kundi inuunti unti talaga namin, we also have other priorities, like yung line opening ng line namin manila to ano, Manila to Bicol….(The answer is..Just bear with us, we are little by little, doing something about it, we also have other priorities, like the line we are opening up from Manila to Bicol)

JUST BEAR WITH US?!!!!!! What kind of answer is that????!!!!

Sabi pa, “We have warned the public several times…the old adage, STOP, LOOK and LISTEN!”

Obviously several times is not enough!!

Archimedes Arboleda is a 35 year old responsible husband and father working nights at JP Morgan in the Fort to provide his family’s needs, while some people are not being responsible enough giving safety warnings?

Based on this law Section, 61,
(ii) says,, you are to warn the public, “AT ALL TIMES”!

Ulitin ko lang ha…and sabi “just bear with us” daw! (Let me repeat, you are saying “Just bear with us?!”)

Inuunti, unti??? dahil may ibang priorities?… (Little by little?, because you have other priorities?)

PNR Officers, if you don’t want to own up to your responsibilities, be at least sensible in giving your responses…

How much is the capitalization for PNR?

Php 500,000,000,000.00 , ( P500 BILLION???!!!) And you can’t afford to provide Sufficient SAFETY DEVICES???

Archie’s son, Liam a 6 year old kid is to going to grow without his dad, and miss on having to call someone his dad, not to have a father watch his games, not have a dad attend his school gatherings, no dad to put a medal on him when he is to receive some, and no dad to teach him things that should come from a father. Forever miss on having a dad who will provide his needs!

How much are PNR’s penalties according to the law?

Oh my gosh, this shocked me!!! Per day of not operating is P1,000,000.00! PER DAY YAN HA!
pero for a HUMAN LIFE LOST, P300,000!

Mas mahal pa pala ang halaga ng operation ng tren, sa buhay ng tao???!

SAFETY MUST be an ALL TIME PRIMARY PRIORITY whether the PNR has
a other Priority projects or not…
Safety is a 24/7 priority not a project!

How about PNR making it a project to make sure, LIAM will get the the provisions and education he needs that his father is supposed to take care of , if your priorities are arranged right!

Do you know how valuable a human life is? It costed the life of JESUS CHRIST to save humanity!

There has to be a communication device that will let the motorists know ahead of time, that a train is coming!
Do you agree that PNR does it’s part in making sure that they effectively communicated a safety reminder or a risk warning?

Archie Arboleda passed away, January 6, 2012, in an accident at the PNR Railway!

If you are a family, friend, office mate of Archie, or a person who wants to prevent this accidents from happening again, please pass this post.

Is a crossing keeper enough to prevent accidents or a barrier be imperative on all crossings?
Will appreciate comments! Salamat po!

God protects, pray!

Praying for God’s protection!
In a recent trip to El Nido, Palawan where we are developing a camp site and our would be house, my cousin Rene, niece Ching together with our housemate Tess and I had to take a BUS to the nearest place to take a small boat ride to our place.  I took my car once and the road was terrible for a car plus I’d rather sit and enjoy the great views than get busy driving. And along the way we had a very serious bus trouble that almost took our lives. Thank God for saving us all from a mishap. I am truly grateful to my husband, my mom and my siblings and some really good friends who prays for me especially during my travels.
Just a few minutes off from town is a winding road going up and down hill, when on a curve, our bus driver was turning the wheel but the bus won’t follow.  I thank God for the prayer he answered even before we left the terminal. The bus stopped just a couple of feet away from a sure fall by the cliff, I am so grateful that the driver had presence of mind. The lady owner of the bus was even seated in the front, and would not have been spared if we fell, Ching and I was seated right behind the driver and would have been a very critical spot too.

Our bus kept going the direction of the arrow and stopped right there!

We found out later that 2 buses have fallen off the same spot few months earlier and there had been casualties.  My husband and I who was out of the country then and I texted and he said if no bus pass by, that we just hire trikes to take us to Bucana to catch the boat waiting for us.
On the picture is where we could  have fallen down if it happened, 50 feet down easily. I thank God for the angels He sent to really stop it.

We made it safely to our place! God is awesome. We later learned that it took 3 hours for the bus to get fixed and made it to Bucana safely too.
What happened was the steering wheels connection to the steering rod gave in! Imagine that!!! Praise God really, I believe my cousins, niece and I still have a lot of missions in life to accomplish!

The steering wheel connector to the rod detached! oh my..

If our boat is on the water, we were to take a straight boat ride from town to our place. This boat should be back in water soon… Wowislands Travel and Tours will operate it as an Island Hopping boat for tourists who wants to see the lagoons and explore the white sand beaches of El Nido Palawan.

21 Seater Banka named I'm Yours (means it belongs to God!)

That's our foremen Tito Win and Cris welcoming us

Wowislands Travel and Tours will soon launch trips to this place for those want to enjoy beach camping. Those diving to the nearby Islands North of Palawan are most welcome to make Dagmay, Teneguiban, El Nido, Palawan a camping stop over. It will have clean comfort rooms and shower areas as well as cold drinks available for a more comfortable stay! So it will just be a half way roughing it kind of camping! :-)
