I have been meeting people the last few days who are living a great life at retirement time and they shared with me why.

One is Ma’am V who just acquired a $ 600K luxury condo and Sir F who bought at least 3 vacation condotels and buying more.

They have travelled the world with their families spending quality time and love and keep travelling to this day and have sent their children to ivy league schools.  Also, they own a lot of rental properties in America, Canada, Mexico, Caribean and now have been investing in the Philippines. They are both Filipinos.

They say it all boils down to “SAVING”, consistently.

Today as i open the net to check my mail, i saw this link on Yahoo’s front page. This explains in figures what we

should be saving to be able to travel and have investments in the future and have a great retirement.

Based on the article, I should be saving at least $671 a month…check how much should you save to have a $1 Million on retirement.

Similarly, author Al Sembrano who wrote 10 Secrets of the rich say the same thing… You can

get his book at any National Bookstore, Powerbooks or online at http://sikreto.com

This year one of the things i wish to try is go on cruises,  Asian countries to start with.  I have a client who goes to European and Caribbean cruises and they sounded very happy sharing their experiences. I think staying in a cabin in a big ship and enjoying the amenities in it is something different. Get to sleep being in one place and wake up in another, with new view to see and enjoy. That would be a blast.

I wish there would be local cruises that will bring you from one beach or island to another. Maybe start of at the Manila Bay, then go to Puerto Galera in Batangas, then in Panglao Beach in Bohol, then to The Worlds Best Tropical Island Beach - Boracay, then to Palawan and Amanpulo, wow, that would be fantastic.

mines-view-park.jpg  I’ve not been to Baguio for several years because the beach has always been the family’s choice destination for summer. I am glad to be here in January when it is colder than summer. It was 10′C when i was there. There are more homes in the mountain than every before.  The view of mountains and the fog and clouds passing never fails to amaze me and the wonderfully cool climate makes me want to stay longer.

Would love to have a vacation home here.
