I love going to bookstores! I would be glad to have barnes & noble coupons in time for my visit to the states next month! I want to have at least one cookbook that teaches how to make good american but healthy food for my husband, a gardening book that teaches basics, a book on growing herbs, how to do organic farming, and books on alternative medicine. I would be glad to have books that will help me know Jesus more!

Arelle V. White Having said that there is no hospital in El Nido, and our place being far from town, I want to have our very own first aid station with a medical cart with some basic emergency drugs! I have a couple of Medical of First Aid kits there already, but mostly just for handling cuts, minor allergies, fever and flu! I’m gonna have to request my husband to build me an area where I can have this station and maybe an area to conduct basic first aid skills that I learned from the Red Cross training!

Arelle V. White El Nido, Palawan is like a paradise if you look at it’s beaches, it boasts of very pristine white sand beaches and crystal clear waters in its many islands, with magnificent looking limestone on the backdrop! But there is lack of medical facilities even in town. There is no hospital! There is however a town clinic in the Town Hall with a doctor, nurse and there are baranggay health workers too. There is also a private Surgeon’s clinic but the services are limited. There are exam tables most likely and an operating table for minor surgeries, and minor emergencies and some limited supplies of medication. The nearest hospital is 2 and half hours away in Taytay, and the big hospitals are 5 hours away, in the capital city of Puerto Princesa.
