4 Kinds of people, what are you?

One of the training seminars I’ve attended that I would say life changing or at least perspective in life changing is the Success Plus from Technology for Peak Performance  by Rene Austria and His brother, I’m sorry I couldn’t remember his name right now.
One of the things they talked about was the 4 Types of People are in terms of Performance.
4 Kinds of people and how they perform.

Spectators – they’re the kind who asks the question… “What happened?” How do they watch TV? They watch all day! They know what shows in most channels. They just watch things happen…
Spaghetti Brain – These are the kind who can’t make up their mind…In a restaurant, they would probably order one dish and before the waiter could right it, he changes his mind, and when the water has written down the order, he decides to try something else again.  They go through the motions of just choosing and changing, saying yes, then in a heartbeat, say no! How do they watch TV? They change channels all the time, they can’t decide what show to actually watch to finish. TV’s that can show multiple channels in one screen was probably made for this kind of people. They enroll in one school on a course, and half way thru the semester wants to move to another course! Then by the time he finishes, if at all can, he has enrolled in 4 different majors.
Major Problem - These are the people who does things and wants to achieve something, only after all is said and almost done, they see a problem. They couldn’t go passed the possibility of failing. How do they watch TV? In an action film that is so entertaining, they will see every flaw and mistake, like, how can the lead role not get hit by all the guns firing at him or something like that! Theyre’ the kind who say..that will work, but! They have a but all the time!
Peak Performers – These are the people who makes a goal and does what it takes to achieve it. No buts, no excuses! Does peak performers watch TV? Oh definitely, because they’re the kind who invents a TV!
What ever it is you want to achieve in life, you can use  this 4 kinds of person as your way of evaluating your own performance. Your results will always tell you how are you performing!
As a blogger, like John Chow encourages, you have to be committed, and not find the excuses not to blog, I mean if one is serious enough to make a serious income, then there has to be some changes! I admit to having been a sort of a spaghetti brain or maybe a major problem, and it’s time to be a peak performer!
I do want to make serious money online, not just for my self but for the goals I need to achieve that will impact my family and others around me.
It is never too late to change from being a spectator, a spaghetti brain or a major problem to becoming a Peak Performer! The only person who can change you, is the person sitting on your seat right now! That’s what Rene Austria said…and I’m like, who? oh me! Yes, only You and I can change our destiny! Make a decision to change something…it may be a goal, a habit, or a dream!
Doing the same thing and expecting different result is insanity, so I heard…Would you rather not be sane?
Let’ go for our blogging income goals for 2012. I will endeavor to grow my blog and hope to make at least 12 x what I made in 2011, which was barely USD 700 on this blog. So by the end of this year, my income should be USD 8,400 total! I will make a report at the end of the year of how much I will make from this blog, then, we will know if I have become a Peak Performer! I will make John Chow my online mentor and guide! I will follow his instructions in his ebook the best way I could.

Money is on the list? True!

No Gravatar

I agree with John Chow saying that Money is on the List, 100%! I have proven this myself, not online, but offline however the principle is still the same, only the method changed. Method of getting the list and method of how the list is used!

When I was marketing Subic Bay Yacht Club and Subic Bay Golf and country club shares, then valued at USD 35,000.00 and USD 28,000 a share. I needed a list! The Elite List!  Who would want a share at a Yacht club, but those who have a yacht, or at least wants to have a yacht and hang around people who are rich and very rich :-) ! Who would be willing to pay USD 28K just to play….golf that is! I am not an elite that I could just approach a Bank President, a Giant Manufacturing Executive or a Movie Star!

But I knew these are the kind of people who will be willing to invest in my product. And I knew they’re in some type of a list, pardon me for referring to these wealthy people as if they’re just a name on a list, these are Very Important People who’s name appears in a group with a name list! I couldn’t afford to get my hands on a list that will provide me contact information, so I did the basics of reaching out to the rich people I know, till I got enough sales to get hold of the list!

And when I got the list…guess what? I didn’t waste time tapping my fingers on a PC playing games, I wrote a well thought of letter highlighting my product and giving them reasons why they should be a member. Did it work? Definitely! I got more sales than I expected…because these people were the right people.

3 THINGS YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER ABOUT A LIST

1. Right Market Segment – Time is gold, you have to spend your time selling to people who is a MAN … A person who has Money, Authority and Need.

3. Right Product – The rich wants exclusivity, it’s what I offered them. They want prestige, I made sure they understood that being a member of our club equaled that! Know what to offer to the list you have. You must be passionate about your product, it must be something you yourself patronize, or will patronize if you can afford it.

2. Right Timing – Timing is not everything, it’s the only thing. Be in the forefront of your business.  Know what product is timely and get to your client at the right time.  If there was a big golfing or boating event, I was there and visible.

See, I did this more than 10 years ago, 96ish.. it’s the time when people are just using pagers and later huge looking cellphones thicker than an IPAD for communication, we used the conventional fax to send some urgent non-sensitive information, no Internet.

I had to buy the list at a certain amount per name! I first borrowed a list of Members of  Rotary Club, until I found a person who was willing to sell a  list of members of another Country Club and a list of  American Express Card and the likes.  I tell you, it’s a major investment. You don’t have to do that, but you can if you like, there are databases for sale out there. But for now, all you have to do is invite people and they can actually give their email add to you for FREE! What could be better than that.  What’s USD 1 if you will have USD 10 income on it, right? Yes, I will sign up for Aweber… I got to be an obedient teacher to my mentor :-)

Timing? You got it, if they signed up t0 be on your list…you can send them an email, and they will read it anytime they want…It’s their time, so it means they’re open to knowing what in your letter. So the challenge is for you to keep them interested.

Are they the right people? Of course, they signed up because you got them interested!

I can not keep sending my A list people letters without costing me a lot, I can’t just use ordinary paper and regular mail to get them anything. I have to have premium paper and special delivery. But with technology today, you can send virtually cost free or at least at a very tiny cost.

It’s getting late and I have to sleep, but my priority tomorrow is to start inviting people to sign up for a newsletter from me! Like John Chow said, do it on Day 1!

Hey, am I making sense, or just telling you things you already know? lol.

Reading John Chow’s ebook Money Making Online

John Chow‘s ebook Money Making Online with John Chow dot com is a gold mine of information on making serious money online, that’s for sure! You see I’ve had this blog the same year he launched his, and I am nowhere near to making anything like he does! nada! But I don’t feel terrible that he made all those money and I didn’t. Why? Because I didn’t do all the hardwork he did, the time, the money, the dedication, the heart he put into his blog!

But I do feel bad that I wasted my time doing other things, like a lot of unproductive things, instead of sharing something of value online. Not that I wasn’t able to achieve any good, I believe I have been very blessed the last few years!

God has blessed me with a Bachelors Degree! Passed a couple of Professional Board Exams! Helped with a couple of  Relief Operations and Medical Missions to Typhoon stricken places, got to travel to a few countries, learned how to scuba dive, mountain climb from Dale Abenojar (the First Filipino to reach the peak of Mt. Everest)!  Went bouldering, cave exploring and among  the first in the Sky Adventure in the Philippines.  Got married to a handsome, responsible, loving  and most of all godly man. Now, building  a beach house and a 21 seater boat  in a beautiful white sand beach facing the west!

It would be great to enjoy our beach house while I make even just a quarter of what John Chow makes in a couple of years! If I only blogged about all those adventures and some, maybe I am making many times more than I do now.   I’m looking forward to watching the awesome sunset with my loving husband who is always supportive of things I want to do, and have the money to spend and share with the less fortunate, too.

Maybe I’ll make it a motivation to earn from blogging to support a cause. There is no hospital in the town where our beach is, and kids are starving because we’re off grid (meaning no power and no road access.) We are using solar for our house and boat to get to out beach. There is a way to have satellite internet so blogging is possible! I want to have some type of Nursing/First Aid Station for the community, help with Education, right now, they’re fund raising to build a Pre-School room.

So since I am done with a lot of time consuming endeavors and my hubby and I will soon move to our beach house (can have fresh mind to blog) looking into the vastness of the tranquil sea, I should seriously follow what John said in the guide and just go ahead live the life it can bring me!

My blog will need a revamp, a total make over and organization. And a serious commitment to post! I will surely make the changes, maybe slowly but surely! In 2007 (oh my 5 years ago! time flew)  was once starting to hang out with some bloggers, it was Gail who introduced me to this, then later met Abe who is a serious blogger sent to Germany just to speak of its power. I remember meeting Manny Viloria, Aileen Apolo of Google. Also, got to even speak in a bloggers conference iblog3 on the invitation of Janette Toral Digital Filipino, so I guess I was doing something right at the beginning and totally lacked follow through.

I will probably try to launch Wowislands blog as well for all the travels I had and will keep having In a few days, I’ll be going to the beach house to oversee construction and shortly after that will travel to the States for a vacation. I can now put the travel experiences, videos and pictures to some good use and not just have them sleep in a portable hard drive waiting to be looked at again.

I need to finish all of John’s ebook soon so I can plan my blog before I move further! I have a USD 109 from google adsense this January, so maybe it’s a good sign lol!  I want to be an effective Internet marketer of products I believe in myself, that’s for sure!

Better late than never to start blogging and making money online at all!
