Wowislands Travel and Tours made my cousins stay in El Nido even more enjoyable this last trip. Ching, the reservations officer did great booking us Island Hopping Tours. The rest of the trip was in a secluded beach North of El Nido Palawan we call Verde Safari, located in the Beach of Sitio Dagmay, Brgy. Teneguiban.
How to Get There?
1. By Motorcycle
Head North and Turn Left to Barutuan, then Pasadena and turn another Left to Bucana…before reaching the Bucana elementary school, there is a turn to DULI Beach, that road leads all the way to Dagmay, Teneguiban.
2. By Public Transport. There is a Bus that leaves Town at the Public Market (Pamilihang Bayan) everyday at 10AM, called MAA Transport, Fare is P50. When at the Hanging Bridge in Bucana, it’s a 15 minute boat ride to Verde Safari (Dagmay) as there are no public transport from Bucana to Dagmay. The boat can be arranged via Wowislands Travel and Tours. (Boat is P300 per way, can load up to 4 people. Bigger Boat for up to 10 people is P800 per way.)
3. Boat Ride
From the town of El Nido, it’s about 1 hr and 15 minutes straight boat ride towards the North, same route that goes to Coron.
Verde Safari in Dagmay is a great place to just rest and relax…away from the busy town of El Nido. When we got done with some island hopping tours in town, we wanted a quiet beach all to ourselves and we found it in Dagmay. Awesome sunsets too! The beach is clear with no corals on the beach floor that will hurt your feet, and snorkeling areas were closeby just a few minutes by a paddle boat.
The sand is very fine and powdery…During the monsoon season, the waves can be rough and great for body boarding. During the summer season water is so calm, the sand becomes whiter as it dries… Kids from the village comes to hang out and play!
And my husband and I who like kids at heart loves to play with them too! :-)
