Boracay Family Vacation

It took Five (5) Different Cebu Pacific Flight Batches from Manila to Caticlan and 1 Ceres Bus Trip from Kalibo before the entire family and close friends became complete in Boracay.

My Mom and i was on the same flight, while my sister Rich and Gracie on another, but just 30 minutes apart last Feb 14, yeah it was a Boracay Family Valentine. Then the following day, friends Karla, Pamela and Sheryl arrived at 630am in Caticlan Airport, followed by Madel, Rene, Yen and Kyle,  then Kalibo Party of Tita Laurie, Feby, Ansel, Clane, Lara, Bel, Doods and Samantha came before lunch time. Lastly, Kuya Bong, Ate Jane, Jaepher and Chrysha at 3pm flight..whew!!!

My family and I took 3 Villas at Nirvana Garden Villas, Rene and Company at BNB Resort, then the rest to friends houses. We just gathered together for swimming and meals. It was really a blast… Both of our resorts are all great places for families.  Spacious rooms and living areas for kids to move around.

Boracay offers a really great place for fun, relaxation, quality time for the family. It has something to offer for all ages, shapes and interests. :-)

Boracay Stations took care of all our bookings.  We usually swim at Station one, near the Willy’s Rock, at times at Pearl of the Pacific. We like it there because the sand is finest, and kids enjoy creating castles.

Cebu Pacific Air Boracay

July 7, 2008

I am at the Cebu Pacific -Domestic Airport right now(7am), waiting for Ate Janet to arrive. I left home quite early today to beat the Monday traffic jam.

I have a new Desktop PC and 2 UPS’s that Mark and Paul bought from Gilmore for our Boracay resort online reseration business BoracayStations, Inc., a water purifier for my aunt and my luggage with a few set of clothes with mostly computer gadgets on it.

11 Days from now, we are doing a Help Kalibo Relief program, you might now know it but Kalibo was the worst hit province by Typhoon Frank. To date, still there is no electric power, water and basic communication.  I hope that the groceries have new stocks being sold because food has been very hard for the Akeanons.

If you wish extend help to the victims of the typhoon, who has been homeless since June 21, and probably been starving too, you can send help via http://helpkalibo.com or contact me at 0918-5199109 for details.

Help Kalibo Relief Operation

It’s a great privilege to help lead a Relief Operation to support the Typhoon Frank Victim in Aklan, the province worst hit last June 21 and June 22, 2008.

I was in Boracay at the time of the Typhoon and it surely was scary. I’m glad to be in a very nice resort, Boracay Breeze where i felt more secure.

I would like to personally thank all the resorts in Boracay who supported us in the July giving, which are Hey Jude, Asya, Mandala Spa, Orchids, Giulius Bamboo, especially Boracay Breeze (our host resort), Yes FM Boracay, and most of all Paradise Cable TeleVision (PCTV) who helped pick up, transport goods to the packing area and took us to the relief operation site in Pinamuk-an.

Also, I would like to thank our individual donors who gave such as the Finucan and Tumbokon Families of USA, Papiri or Italy, in the Philippines the – Sullano, Barrera, Romanillas, Abiado, Valla, Borja, Gonzales, Yacob, Delfin,, Aparicio, Amacio, Rodriguez.

The photos were mostly at the residence of Tita Laurie Lachica in Linabuan Norte, Kalibo, Aklan, where the packing was done.

In the relief bag were Canadian Towels, Bed Sheets, Rice, Chicken and Beef Noodles, Sardines, Plate, Glass, slippers and clothes. Goods were for about 1000 persons to enjoy.

For August we are raising funds to give School Supplies to children who lost all their school belongings to the mud and flood. We thank those who have already send their donations to the Help Kalibo Relief team for buying school supplies, the Villahermosa-Wright of Denver, Colorado, Razo of Ajax, Canada, Valla of Shell Philippines just to name a few.

Again many thanks, you are touching lives.

Waiting for my flight at Cebu Pacific Terminal

May 26, 2007 I’ve been wanting to really make my website a real journal (and not an advertising thing lol, which is what it has been lately) of what’s keeping me busy and to also attempt to document my real estate internet selling progress. Now that i really have no much choice but to hang around where im sitting, i thought i might as well get back to blogging.

Im currently at the domestic airport terminal listening to Almighty Praise Album on my laptop to start my journal, enroute to my usual monthly trip to Boracay Island. As usual, Cebu Pacific is late, but the wait seems to be getting shorter, improving hahaha.

O Oh,I just heard an announcement that goes something like, “Flight Cebu Pacific 5J 343 bound for Kalibo aircraft will be delayed due to late arrival of turnaround aircraft. The new expected time of departure will be 5: 10pm (instead of 4:20) We apologize for the delay.” I have been hearing this in the last few flights too, bound for Tacloban and Bacolod. I dont know if this is something that’s an everyday thing, but it seems to me it is. I remember in my January flight this year along with my Mom, ate Janet and Nelson, it was 3 or 4 hours delayed apparently for the same reason. My friend who were bound for Cebu with her fiancee was also delayed that day, (its my first time to meet her Irish soon to be husband). It was too long delayed that Cebu Pacific gave us Free Jollibee Lunch. Then in Feb, when i was travelling with friend Julie, the flight was delayed for two hours too. Same thing happened on May 3 (my supposed April trip) they were delayed for more than an hourl. From 3 or 4, down to 2, then 1, now 40 minutes…that’s a development isnt it? hehe…

Oh by the way, since im travelling alone this time, and no one to share my load of luggage with, i paid P800 on excess baggage, its P 50/kilo including VAT :-( In fairness, i still enjoy taking Cebu Pacific flights because of convenience in buying tickets, i just have to print my ticket and check in, and not have to pass by the ticketing office upon arrival at the airport unlike when i ride Philippine Airlines. It seems cheaper by a thousand or two also. Its just that they dont offer snacks free with the ticket, but they do sell at P 50 per meal and drink onboard in case one gets hungry. PAL goes with a drink and bread. Well, i don’t mind, i usually eat before travelling. Cebu Pacific does some programs of ‘Bring me” or “Question and Answer” on board and give out a few prices to the winners.

It’s 18 minutes to 5:10pm yet. I hope there will be no more further delays. Because when i arrive in Kalibo Airport, i still have to take a van to Caticlan for an hour and 30 minutes, and that means i have to take a 15 minute boat ride at night time which i dont really prefer, I don’t like being in the water in the dark. Il be fetch in Caticlan so travelling on boat scares me less knowing i have someone i know with me. Well, im just thinking right now, that when I reach Boracay Island, a great dinner is up along the lively beach front. Oh no….as of this writing this very minute, another announcement just came out saying something like, “Passengers bound for Kalibo on Flight 5J 343 will be delayed, your new expected time of departure is at 5:35 p.m, please remain inside the departure area and wait for further announcement. Please accept our apologies for the delay, thank you”…

I just texted Richie who’s fetching me that il be delayed… I’m just glad that even if my flights get delayed, my Boracay trip has always been successful, so it’s all worth it. But to have an ontime flight would greatly add to the success! lol… Hey guys, if you are planning on getting a trip to Boracay soon, we are launching a Resort Online Reservation Website that will give the deals in room bookings on your resort of choice in Boracay.A lot of nice rooms are in the island, cheaper than you can find in most websites right now, primarily because a lot of smaller resorts doesn’t have a website to promote their rooms that are very friendly in pricing, watch out for it soon. It will be at BoracayStation.Com

We will help you find a room at lower and reasonable rates in a location that will best suit your boracay get away preference. Do you want something located at Station 1, Station 2 or 3? A room thats in the beachfront or the back (maybe 5 minutes walk to the beach front)? A room near party places? Budget Rooms, Transient Rooms? Long term stay cheap boracay rooms? Family-friendly rooms? (that offer facilities for baby bottle heating, etc.) Do you want something that’s very private away from the Crowd? Do you want a villa where you can do some cooking? A luxurious room with swimming pool? Name it and we will do our best to help and assist you. Well, i think that’s about it for now, im getting low bat.Mabuhay!

Kalibo Town Plaza

All streets were closed for motorists in the four corners of Aklan Town Plaza. This photo was taken the day before the highlight of the event where Ati-Atihan Festival participants already come in Tribal Costumes in black painted bodies.

Parading of Aklanons in Drums and themed shirts started Jan. 18. 2008. Almost all towns were represented as well as major Institutions like the Colleges and Major Organizations.
