My verse for 2010, Proverbs 21:21

No Gravatar

I was doing my devotion yesterday and God gave me Proverbs 21:21 as a theme verse for 2010.
21 He who pursues righteousness and love
finds life, prosperity [a] and honor.

I didn’t notice how 21 appeared in both the verses and the year, just now, pretty cool.

And today the word is very much related to it. Let me share the notes I jotted down from the preaching of the Word by Ptr. Edgar at Victory Center, UP Film Center.

Hosea 10 :12
12 Sow for yourselves righteousness,
reap the fruit of unfailing love,
and break up your unplowed ground;
for it is time to seek the LORD,
until he comes
and showers righteousness on you
How do we seek God.
3 Ways to seek God?
1. The right Seed – Sow for yourselves righteousness.
What you sow is what you reap.
Choices we make and actions we take are seeds.

We have to sow the seeds of righteousness ourselves. Our parents, significant, others or pastors can’t do it for us. We must sow seeds of righteousness ourselves.

What is righteousness? It is being in the right standing with God.

2. The Right Soil – “and break up your unplowed grounds and reap the fruits of unfailing love.
Unused or idle soil are hardened with weeds.
In the parable of the Sower, it talked about different soils representing different hearts. How receptive we are on the word being planted in our hearts.

A hardened heart- a heart that resists what God wants to do with us.
A hardened soil will have weeds and thorns that make planting unhealthy or unproductive.

To name two weeds that can harden our soil (our hearts) is Pride and Disobediences.

Daniel 5: 20
20 But when his heart became arrogant and hardened with pride, he was deposed from his royal throne and stripped of his glory.

Hebrews 3:13
13But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
Our conscience can be calloused & desensitized, because of repeatedly ignoring the heed of the Holy Spirit, our hearts become callous and can no longer hear.

A broken spirit, He will not despise.

Sometimes we can surrender all areas of our hearts except one, something we don’t want given over to God, such as some addictions, sexual immorality, adultery, ungodly relationships or practices, un forgiveness.

Break it up, till the soil, and trust God to deal with it.

What happens if we don’t break it? Weeds crowd out.

There is this teenager who grew up in a Godly home who was asking her mom if she could watch a movie with friends. The movie will seem to show a lot of obscenity, but since everyone is watching, it would probably be fine.

Her mom said she doesn’t recommend it, but while they prepare dinner, the teener insists coz it seems acceptable. Her mom just finished doing the salads, and while she cleans up, instead of putting the peeling from the potatoes in the trash, she put it on the salad. The daughter got surprised and asked why her mom would do that. Her Mom replied, that’s what happens when you go out there and see an obscene film, it’s like putting garbage to your soul and spoil the rest of it, and can no longer be useful. If you can put garbage to your soul, maybe you wouldn’t mind putting garbage to your body.

Whether that is a true story or not, we get the picture.

Deliberate compromising will make our heart callous. We can’t have the concept of abusing God’s grace, compromise and ask forgiveness after.

3. Right Time –“until he comes & showers Righteousness on you” Some are very impatient. Lord, bless me and I will obey, if you don’t then I won’t follow you.
Don’t give up on seeking the Lord, in due time you will reap a harvest of blessings.

If you have a bank account that gets a daily credit of USD 86,400 a day but at the end of the day goes down to zero even if you withdraw from it or not, unspent amount is not credited to the next day, what would you do? Withdraw it everyday and spend it, right?

Every day, you are given 84,600 seconds to do what is right and plant seeds of righteousness for a harvest of blessing you will not have enough room to contain it.

One way to seek God is by doing prayer and fasting. We invite you to join us from Jan. 8-14, 2010 for a 7 Day prayer and fasting.

The Climb

The Climb starring Jason George and Ned Vaughn

When I got out of church yesterday, i saw a DVD showing two guys climbing at mountain caught my eye and so i bought it for Doug, just taking the chance that he might not have watched it yet, but he had lol…If he hasn’t I wanted to wait for him to arrive next month and we’ll watch it together, like we watched Fireproof together, so since he’d seen it, I watched it already lol, with my Mom, sister Ming and housemate Tess.

the-climb-nedvaughn-jasongeorge

It’s a story of two mountain climbers (played by Jason and Ned) who saved another climber Josh who got into an accident that could have costed him his life. Josh’s Father happened to be very wealthy and wanted to thank the heroes who saved his son by helping them make their dream of climbing a Mountrain in Chile come true. And there the moving story of team work, sacrifice and life changing experiences took place.

Ned believed in God and shared his faith with Jason who doesn’t care much about faith or anything less than his passion for climbing. The challenges they encountered tested their personal capacities and realized it takes more than just the will to make it.

It’s a movie every mountain climber or sports man should watch, however, it’s really a movie for all to appreciate. Try to get a copy of this DVD and be touched by a heartwarming story of a man going after dreams, a man of integrity that shapes ones future and a God who has our best interest in mind.

5 Things  learned from the movie, The Climb?
1. Passion brings success.

When we are passionate about what we are doing, to the point that we are willing to do it even if we don’t get paid, we become excellent in it and we will serve before Kings. Meaning we will gain favor when we do things the best way we can with commitment and dedication.

Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men.
Proverbs 22:29

2. Integrity is prime..

Ned said “my integrity is not for sale”, I believe in this very strongly myself. To be truthful and honest in our dealings no matter what it takes. We are do serve with all honesty at all times.
In my walk as a Christian I had my own share of putting myself in compromising situations, but thank God for his grace and forgiveness when we ask for it, and we can get back on our feet and take the high road.

Proverbs 3:3-4
3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.

3. Take Responsibility
Family is the most important institution on earth and so our significant other and family members are to be our priority and making every effort to build a strong relationship will give us the most fulfillment.
There is an emptiness in our hearts that only God can fill, no amount of success can do.

Proverbs 13:10
Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
We can’t be all knowing, we need wisdom to make decisions specially the toughest ones.

4. Dream Big

We have to fill our thoughts of what we want and believe God for it.

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

5. Train and be ready to achieve your Dream

We can view some parts of life like a serious game that needs to be won for us to have significant results and achieve a certain level of success that gives us rewards. That only happens when we win. I believe in the saying that success comes to those who are prepared. And preparation and training must be holistic, body, mind, soul and spirit.

1 Corinthians 9:25

Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

I hope you can grab a copy of this film and watch it. I got the DVD from Victory Christian Fellowship bookstore at UP Diliman – Film Center.

Having a Right Foundation

No Gravatar

Let’s enjoy the song, I live, I breath.

I hope you enjoyed the song.

Have you heard of the famous Filipino sayings “kasabihan”?Tumalon pag bag taon para tumangkad

(Jump during New Year’s eve so you will become tall) How many of you did that? lol… It’s genetics that plays a role in how tall we can be :-)

We can be sincere, but end up proven sincerely wrong about the things we got used to believing.

Being shared at church right now is having a Right Foundation to progress in our christian life. Please allow me to share the notes I took.

Repentance and Faith

Hebrews 6:11Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death,[a] and of faith in God.Repentance from dead works, but Faith in God.

The first foundation we need to have is to have Repentance. A changed mind that leads to a change in action. A change in lifestyle.

What is Repentance? It is a change of thought and action to correct a wrong and gain forgiveness from a person who is wronged.

Repentance is different from remorse or regret.

Let us read 2 Corinthians 7:10-11 (New International Version)10Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 11See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.

Do you remember the story of Adam and Eve when they ate the fruit from the Tree of life? After eating what God said is forbidden, they had shame in their hearts and covered themselves. What did God do? He killed an animal and covered them.

Because Man, you and I fell into sin, we need to repent and be forgiven. We can’t clean and just cover up our sins. What has to happen is for someone to die for us and cover our sins for us. It’s what Jesus Christ did for us.

Dirty laundry goes where? to the Washing Machine. Dirty clothes can’t clean themselves. We can’t clean ourselves too. We need the blood of Jesus Christ to clean us, by faith. In the presence of God, there is true forgiveness. We don’t need to do things to earn forgiveness, we just have to have faith.

No good works will ever outweigh the bad things we have done.

Isaiah 64:6 (New International Version)6 All of us have become like one who is unclean,
and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags;
we all shrivel up like a leaf,
and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

ALL our righteous acts are like filthy rags. It is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is what will free us from all kinds of guilt and shame. It’s about accepting the love of God that he sent his one and only son for you and I so we can be forgiven and be guilt free.

How many of you dream of wanting that you can wake up and things just be new again? Guess what, you can have that today. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ can save us and free us.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (New International Version)
8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast.
It’s a GIFT! No need to do anything to have it, just accept it. No requirements of any kind of good work, just faith, believing in your heart, accepting the love of God.

Have you tried the Stationary Bike? How many of you agree that no matter how hard and long you stride on these bikes, you are not gonna get anywhere? Yes, you will get tired and lose some fats and calories, but still you are in the same place.

What will get you to the place of God’s best, is what Christ has done, not what you can do. The right foundation to achieve maturity in the spirit and be strong in this life is to have a foundation of Repentance first and foremost and having faith in God.

real-ryder

exertainment_cycle

Instead of being in a spiritual stationary bike state, be on a pedicab, sit back and let God do the driving.

pedicab1

One wife asked his husband: Do you love me? he answered Yes. and she asked Why? He said, I love you, period! (No conditions!) We are so used to works mentality, that we get uneasy to come across unconditional love. We are used to doing to earn love, instead of doing because we love. It’s  not what we can do, but what he has done. Jesus did die for us because he loves us, not because we did something that earns his love.

It is done, it is finished.

Hebrews 9:14-15 (New International Version)
14How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death,[a] so that we may serve the living God!
15For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

Receive the gift of life and freedom today! Let us repent from our old ways and have faith in God.

Getting past ABC

Sharing with you notes taken on Word of God heard at Victory Christian U Belt on the Series “ABC” – Leaving the Elementary Teachings and going on to Maturity.
The text is on  Hebrews 5:11-6:2 (New International Version)
11We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. 12In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
Hebrews 6
1Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death,[a] and of faith in God, 2instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

Staying as a baby can happen in our Christian life too. It’s not cute when there is no change in our life. There must be signs of Growth, Development and Progress in us.

Jesus calms the storm

No Gravatar

A scary sound of strong winds woke me up this morning. I can hear the neighbors roof banging and our window shaking from the winds. Another storm “Santi” hit our country and it’s good that it’s now out of the Philippines area of responsibility. I would like to share a word i heard from church last October 4, 2009 at Victory Christian Fellowship, U-Belt, sorry i wasn’t able to get the Pastor’s name :-) , i attend at Galleria but went to Ubelt coz I am having my review class there.

You might want to do a song of worship, here is what we sang that afternoon.

This is our God

This is our God – Lyrics

http://www.kovideo.net/lyrics/c/Chris-Tomlin/This-Is-Our-God.html

The word is from Mark 4:35-41 (New International Version)

Jesus Calms the Storm

35That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

39He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. 40He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” 41They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

Pastor asked if you have you been on a vehicle where the driver develops your prayer life? They drive too fast, it drives you crazy, you end up praying all through out the trip. lol.

Thats what he experienced when he was travelling on a bus to his usual provincial preaching assignments. He went to ask the driver if he is not scared at all. The driver replied, no! because you are with me. and i know you are a pastor, God will take care of us. lol

There are 2 observations that was shared on the “Jesus calm the Storm Story”

1. Storms will come in our lives even if Jesus is with us.

There are people who make the assumption that when they come to know Christ, they will no longer have storms in life. Asking things like Why did this happen to me? when a storm you think you don’t deserve to have.

1 Peter 4:12 (New International Version)

Suffering for Being a Christian

12Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.

Because there is a storm in your life, it doesn’t mean that God doesnt love you, or he is punishing you or angry at you. Accept that storms are part of life.

Let’s watch this first 30 seconds of this clip from “Perfect Storm” to see what a storm is like.

How can one stay asleep in a storm like this. We know that Jesus calmed the storm when the disciples woke him and He commanded that storm to stop.

So why was Jesus sleeping? The disciples realized that the Jesus they have been is stronger, bigger than they know. Maybe Jesus wanted to introduce himself to us. He is someone to whom even a storm will obey.

2. Jesus is in control of the storm

You may have storms of your life like debt, broken relationships, illness and what have you. No matter how furious the storm in your life is, Jesus is in control.

Just like the story of Job…God was in control of his storm

Job 42:12-16 (New International Version)

12 The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. 13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters. 14 The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch. 15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.

16 After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation.

God is in control of the devil. God blessed him many times over.

Isnt it odd that Jesus would sleep in the storm? Have you witnessed a storm? I tell you, it’s difficult to sleep amidst of it, especially if you’re in a boat in the midst of it. How come you are sleeping? they must have questioned the Lord. Could it be that Jesus deliberately slept, so the disciples will realize that when all hope is gone, they would turn to him and say Lord, you are our only hope.

We will never know that God is all we need, when we know God is all we have.

There was a storm within them, in their hearts.

Mark 4:40 (New International Version)

40He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

He asked, Why are you so afraid? Jesus saw the condition of the heart? Doubt, unbelief. To calm the storm outside, first, calm the storm inside. Jesus cares. He wants to calm the storm inside of us. Faith in Christ will calm the storm inside of us. As we trust him, he will calm the storm of self pity, greed, envy, jelousy, insecurity.

Only Jesus can. John 16:33

John 16:33 (New International Version)

33″I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

The Tongue – Small Yet Powerful

No Gravatar

The tongue is most powerful organ in the human body in proportion to its size – Einstein

I took notes on our Series at Victory Christian Church entitled, Genuine and for this week’s topic it’s Small Yet Powerful-The Tongue. I attended at VCF – UP DILIMAN at the Film Center.

050405_einstein_tongue.widec
It’s so powerful that it has the power to change ones’ life.

TOP FIVE 5 LIFE CHANGING WORDS
1. Thank you
2. I love you
3. Will you marry me?
4. Yes
5. I do
And on the negative side
1. I hate you
2. Bobo/Tanga (Stupid)
3. You will never amount to anything

James 3: 2-10

2We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.

3When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

7All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, 8but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

9With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.

What can we do to tame it?
Tongue has the capacity to lead our destiny

Karen Carpenter- died of anorexia because his brother Richard Carpenter called her chubby.

You see, life and death is in the power of the tongue.

A survey was done with 100 married couples in America, and it was found that for every day, they said the Words “I love you” to their spouses often. And of 100 Divorced couples, out of a 100 comments, 10 are demeaning.

On James 3:5

Tongue is like a Fire. Like the wild fire in California, the tongue has the capacity to direct and destroy.

Top 10 Common Abuses of the tongue
10. Bad Mouthing/Back Biting
9. Slandering
8. Gossiping
7. Tongue Lashing/Anger
6. Cursing
5. Boasting
4. Grumbling/Complaining
3. Course Joking
2. Lying
1. Using God’s name in Vain – it seems Jesus name has become just an expression, when the bible says, it is the name above all names and is to be worshiped.

Some relationship’s in the family are broken because of hurtful words said. A destructive power of misusing the gift of the tongue.

Can we tame our the tongues?

In James 3: 8 it says, NO MAN CAN TAME THE TONGUE

Matthew 12: 34-35

You brood of Vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him

If you want to check the temperature of the heart, check what comes out of the tongue.
What is coming out of your mouth when you are talking with your spouse, parents, brothers and sisters?
Heart – Spiritual…its what God looks at.

To tame the tongue, we must first humble ourselves that we can’t do it on our own and come to God for help.

Ezekiel 36:26

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

Have you said some words that you wish you can retrieve?

Words pleasing to God is our hearts under his lordship.
Will you allow God to be the captain of your ship?

II Corinthians 5: 17

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come.

A changed Heart reflects changed words coming out of that mans mouth.

What would you rather speak of?
Curses or Blessings
Insulting or Praising and encouraging…

I believe no one is exempted from this message.

Father God, we ask for forgiveness for all the negative words we have said towards others and towards ourselves. Help us to submit our hearts to you, that we may gain a heart of love and faithfulness, that what comes out of our mouths will be pleasing to you and an encouragement to others. In Jesus name, Amen.

This is the last song we sang at church today…

How great is our God.

VERSE(1):
The splendor of a King,
Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice,
All the earth rejoice
He wraps himself in light,
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at his voice,
And trembles at his voice

CHORUS(1):
How great is our God,
sing with me
How great is our God,
and all will see
How great, How great
Is our God

VERSE(2):
Age to age he stands
And time is in His Hands
Beginning and the End,
Beginning and the End
The Godhead, Three in one
Father, Spirit, Son
The Lion and the Lamb,
The Lion and the Lamb

CHORUS(1):
How great is our God,
sing with me
How great is our God,
and all will see
How great, How great
Is our God

CHORUS(2)
Name above all names
You are Worthy of all praise
and My heart will sing how great
Is our God
(x2)

CHORUS(1):
How great is our God,
Sing with me
How great is our God,
and all will see
How great, How great
Is our God

CHORUS(1):
How great is our God,
Sing with me
How great is our God,
and all will see
How great, How great
Is our God

Our series at church is entitled “GENUINE“, it will be a 5 week discussion. For this weeks it’s
Genuine – is your faith real? Please allow me to share some of my notes. It was shared by Ptr. Edgar.

Genuine - is your faith real?

Come to think of it, a lot in the world today are fakes and imitations. If you are from my country, the Philippines, you probably have at least 1 fake of something, sometimes we are not aware of the fake stuff we might have, like certain gifts we receive.Just visit greenhills and there are tons of  pirated CD’s,  fake Rolex’s, fake Nike or Adidas shoes, fake Prada’s and Gucci’s. There are even fake people (the so called Great Pretenders).

The Pastor is right about saying that we might think that fake stuff can be cool because they’re cheaper and yet looks almost the same as the real one. Some fake stuff can be harmless, however other fake stuff can be harmful or even fathal to you and I. It may harm us, our family even our relationships. A fake rubber shoes can cause injury or a fake investment company where  hard earned income are invested in, when gone, can devastate a person  financially. Even when we invest emotionally to a person who are later found fake cause tremendous emotional stress. In one way or another we have personally experienced being taken advantaged of by fake people in school, in business or in personal relationships and I am sure you know  it does hurt.

In the same way, the “Real Thing” can be good for us. Real Nike’s can be protective for us when playing sports, and bring us comfort even just for walking, real investments can give us good yields and real people can bring true and lasting joy, happiness and unconditional love. Genuine Faith is enjoying Blessings!

Just like things and people, there is a fake and genuine faith, that can bring harm or blessing.

The text is on James 1: 21- 25 .

21Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

22Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror 24and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does.

James talked about Two (2) kinds of attitude one may have in response to God’s Word and what these attitudes bring.

1. Attitude of listening to the Word and does not do what it says.

Result: Deception- that brings harm and will cause hurts and pains.

2.Attitude of INTENTLY reading the Word, and DOING what it says.

Result: Blessing- that brings security, peace, joy and success.

The first (1st)  attitude talks about “being knowledgeable about what the Word says, yet doesn’t do it.” It is deceiving ones self like what was said in the scripture above.

We hear of people covering something that happened to them or something they did thinking
its the best way that will not bring harm (like lying to protect oneself- coz say you don’t want to be scolded), yet later on it brings unlikely effects (like losing people’s trust).

The worst kind of deception is Self-Deception. The kind where one lives in an illusion, or fantasy. Sometimes when something really bad and traumatic happens to us, we try to think it didn’t happen to the point of believing ourselves that it really didn’t happen. Instead of accepting that it did happen and seek help to get better,we conceal the hurts and pains and doesn’t get healed of it.

We can go through the motions of attending church, listening to christian music but not experience the deep meaning of having a relationship with Christ.

Why would people rather just listen to the Word and not do what it says?
Because…

1. One thinks it applies to someone else…

Ex.
The word says, do not look lustfully to a woman.—  “oh this is for my bestfriend”

do not let the sun down angry — “oh this is for my dad”

Give your tithes and offering — “oh this is for my mom”

lol.. selective in receiving God’s word…we can look at everyone else except us.

2.  The Truth is hard to do.

Ex. Quit smoking…we know its not healthy yet we do it.

James compared the word to a mirror.

Only the Bible can tell us the deepest core of our being when we look at it and read it.
It does not only reveal how we look like, and how we are, but it also shows us what we can become. Successful, blessed with a destiny and purpose. That makes the bible a different kind of mirror. Can you handle the truth?

The bible knows us better than we know ourselves… Have you taken a video of yourself when you are angry, do you know what you like like? You probably don’t and don’t want to see how you actually look like when you are mad.
When you see a picture of you on a shot where you look funny, you erase it right? lol…

The 2nd Attitude is desiring to look at the Word INTENTLY, with the desire to Obey.
Humbly accepts what the Word says about the condition of our heart…
you can say ” I humbly accept” and will change..
or say “no im okey” …

God will not reveal himself to casual inquirers…God wants to be a person we can enjoy a relationship with and experience his love and his blessings. We must look at ourselves, accept that salvation is only by faith and not by works. And that salvation needs to be worked.

Let us try not to be those who say they’re Christians yet they stay with the same lifestyle of sinning. And missing out on the very best things God has to offer when we seek to live according to God’s standard. I hope we are not the kind who are just going through the motions of attending church, enjoying praise and worship songs but not really having the break through of living a victorious life, a result of obeying the Word.

Delayed obedience is still obedience. If God is telling you to do something right now, follow it it right now. I know it’s not easy, but thank God, He is our there to help.

The Bible tells us who we are, what the condition of our heart is. The good thing is, it does not only tell us those, but also points us to what we can become, a person of Success, Purpose and Destiny. It is our road map to finding “Blessings”

But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing ithe will be blessed in what he does.

The word of God has the power to transform your life, our lives.

I am a God’s work in progress, i make a lot of mistakes and the bible reminds me of those so i can correct myself, (and i sure do know how the result of disobedience hurts), yet it also tells me that i am forgiven and shows me what is in store for me as I do what is right. When I read and obey, God has never failed in sending his blessings!

What Greek goddess am i? the Quiz result says I am Aphrodite, the Goddes of Love! lol…

You Are Aphrodite the Goddess of Love: Goddess of love, lust, beauty, wife of Hephaestus. Ares is her lover. Eros is her son. Known as the most beautiful of the Greek goddesses. Her symbols are the scepter, myrtle, and dove.

I think these descriptions are too much for me lol…

facebook-quiz2

What type of Woman Am I? Result Quiz says… I’m Adventurous. I sort of agree with this.

You are an Adventurous woman!: You’re not afraid to try anything new at least once – be it going on a hike, trying an ethnic dish, belting out a song in a karaoke bar or you name it. You bring excitement and refreshness to your friends and they love you for that. Everyday of the life for you is a new adventure.

My recent adventures are rock climbing for the first time, thanks to Doug’s encouragement. I was part of the Country’s First batch of Skywalkers – at the Crown Regency Hotel Skywalk Adventure, rode the Edge Coaster at the Tallest Hotel in the Philippines too in Cebu. Entered the Phyton Cage (they locked us up inside literally), my gosh I’m glad the snake (3o feet long Phyton-big enought to eat me) was sleeping lol, did Reef Walks a couple of times in Boracay (walking under water at 25 feet wearing a head gear for air and fed fish). I want to try the Zip line ride and Skydiving soon, hopefully within the year.  I can try ethnic food, but belting out at a karaoke bar? that i am not sure, in the privacy of my shower would be more like it lol.

What does my Gemstone say about me? An amethyst.

fb-quiz

Loves to spend money. Modest and humble. Creative mind. Dominating personality. Ambitious towards life. Never give up spirit. Good listener. Superstitious entertainment lover.
